The biggest problem with this plug-in is that when applying transform to use Send To UE, the bone becomes too small or the parent mesh breaks. The problem occurs with Tweak Bone or Deform Bone, not Unreal Bone. Therefore, the problem is that I can't change the Bone structure at all after applying transform. How can I fix this problem? I only do apply transform when I export to Unreal and press ctrl z immediately.

I'm glad I found this video I've been meaning to make my own animations and games and I'm not 100% on rigging myself. so luckily with another UA-camr that I've watched I found out Auto rig pro was on sale for free. I believe these videos will help a lot.

Hi this is an awesome video thanks a lot for your videos. I have a situation that I'm not sure how to handle, basically I got first person shooter arms and the right hand ik controller is constrained to the weapon root bone with a child-of constraint, I got a few actions pushed down the NLA and I'm not sure how to bake the animations because the animation is done by the weapon itself. Do you have by any chance some directions if it's possible please?

I would mostly be rigging animals (mostly dinosaur type creatures) and would like to dd custom constraints, jiggly flesh and bouncy tails and possibly muscle movement, things like that. Which one of these would be easier to add these types of things to after the rigging process is done? Keep in mind, I'm just starting in Blender, though have some experience in Cinema 4D. Thanks!

Just subscribed to your channel. Rigging is something I'm interested in, but can be overwhelming. I've done a little rigging in Cinema 4D years ago, and am now trying to learn Blender. Do you have a preference between Rigify or Autorig Pro? Is one easier to learn than the other, or does one have more advanced features? I'd like to learn one or the other, since they are probably different mindsets. Thanks!

Quick note i just found: For blender 4.0 and up the bone layers are now gone, replaced by Bone Collection, still located below those two button that says "Pose Position" and "Rest Position" to show the deform bones, just scroll down on the bone collection slider until you found a collection named "DEF". Click the eye toggle button to show the bones. You can also hide the other non deform bones from the Item sidebar > Rig Layers, and click & drag to toggle off all other bones. (The button should turn gray from blue when toggled off)

Great presentation... But when creating the "Sphere" @ 32:45, after creating three circles at 90-degree to one another, you need to JOIN them. The Viewport > Custom Object take a single object.

I guess u will use corrective shapekeys + drivers to fix elbow and knee deformations, and u can use "Voxel Heat Addon" to automatic weight paint with deformation bones. Nice tutorials, looking forward to the next video :D

I'm able to follow you better than "Blender Guru" because you use the "Tab for Pie Menu". The dropdown selection for Object/Edit/Pose Modes is hard to see with the UA-cam icon in the way.

Hi, I'm rigging an octopus who will need to hold items with its tentacles (as if using a hand). I was thinking of adding finger bones at the end of the tentacle bones on the two front tentacles (the ones that will hold the items), and parenting them to the closest tentacle bones. Do you think this will work, or should I just add extra bones to the tentacle spline to give it the necessary flexibility? Thank you.

Ah, CGdive didn't think you'd make it but you did with the video out! You are the few UA-camrs who would announce niche news like this :D I know how prevalent this addon is so you most certainly helped someone catch their eye on this with their busy day! (24h seems a lot but, unfortunately, it isn't... (R.I.P for those that didn't make it)). What I really took away from this video is your site... Which I didn't know existed. The blogs, the way of finding resources related to Blender, I quite like it. Like call it the blender search engine for the web, because stuff like good/paid courses is surprisingly hard to find. Like that, anyone can add a suggested resource without having to create an account (no offence). Take Artstation, for example, there are a couple of hidden gem courses there. Btw you should also add a red button next to the URL of the resources to say something like "Notify links broken" (something along those lines) cuz when I clicked an addon (named "Quick Overlap") it didn't exist. And yeah that's my thoughts :) I'll be soon™setting up my (self-hosted) site for stuff like a portfolio, where I can share my process for each piece with no restrictions what's so every baby!! :))) That's of course once I've finished some basic HTML, CSS, JS, etc. I mean there's WordPress too but learning is good, yes. (P.S. I know I was 2h late to reply)

also you may not be able to answer this but i want to first use the unreal engine default rig to get the basic animations for my character, but once on i want to change the leg rig to digi legs (digitagrade legs) to suit my mesh. know if this is possible without messing up all the animations?
